Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The Implementation Project Specialist provides key implementation support by initiating services to be performed by either the Company or their third party haulers as prescribed in a contract exhibit. Key responsibilities include understanding customer requirements, identifying qualified vendors, initiating services that best meet customer needs and ensuring the Company maintains its desired profitability.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Reviews working exhibit (list of service sites to be implemented) to ensure that it clearly defines all service requirements.
* Assesses potential service issues and offers options and recommendations to clients.
* Edits Working Exhibit to determine which service sites will be serviced by Republic Services versus third party vendors.
* Reviews vendor data to ensure that contact information is complete.
* Updates Working Exhibit and other data management tools.
* Uses standard templates and forms to create written communications that request and confirm information on service and pricing and terminates service on client's behalf.
* Follow-ups with third party vendors to confirm that requested services are provided as scheduled.
* Tracks the status of new service awards and expedites actions to avoid or minimize service disruptions during the implementation process. This includes securing alternate suppliers in the event original awardees are unable to perform the service.
* Assists both internal and external customers with periodic implementation issues.
* On occasion, negotiates rates for required services within acceptable department procedures and decision parameters.
* Performs other administrative tasks as required to support the implementation process.
* Performs various administrative functions and assists other departments when needed.
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Two years experience working in an accounting or procurement position.
* AA degree or 2 years of college level coursework in business or demonstrated 2 years financial analyst experience.
