Digital Senior Scrum Master

Job Description

As a Digital Senior Scrum Master, you will be a servant leader and coach for the Crew, which is a team of agile teams. In this role, you will work with your peer Scrum Masters to ensure proper collaboration among the agile teams and to help the Crew maximize the customer value they create. Relocation Available.

Key Responsibilities:

* Help clear obstacles to delivery
* Help the Crew/Squads find effective techniques for Product backlog management
* Assist in tracking the delivery of product features and capabilities
* Coach Crew members in Lean/Agile practices and mindsets
* Help manage risks and dependencies
* Escalate and track impediments
* Provide input on resourcing to address critical bottlenecks
* Facilitating Crew events and processes that go beyond the realm of a single Squad (examples: Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Quarterly Crew Planning Events)
* Communicating across Squads and with various Crew stakeholders
* Escalating and tracking impediments
* Helping to manage risks and dependencies
* Assisting with tracking the execution of features and capabilities by using appropriate metrics
* Acting as a servant leader to the Crew to help them understand and grow in Lean/Agile values, principles, theories, and practices
* Supporting the Product Management team by ensuring the Crew members understand the product domain, customer goals, and scope
* Establishing a psychologically safe environment where the Crew can self-organize and be effective
* Making work visible, through the use of Kanban boards and similar techniques
* Addressing team dynamics and facilitating conflict resolution
* Embodying a growth mindset and love of experimentation
* Driving continuous improvement

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree
* Scrum Master certification required (CSM, PSM, or equivalent)
* Experience working in a scaled agile environment is required
* Solid understanding of Lean/Agile scaling concepts
* Experience working with agile planning & delivery tools, such as Azure DevOps
* SAFe certification preferred (SPC, SA, etc.)
* 3+ years serving as Scrum Master for one or more agile teams
* 2+ years serving as SAFe Release Train Engineer, Chief Scrum Master, or other similar role in a scaled agile environment
* Previous experience working on large-scale B2B or B2C ecommerce initiatives is highly desired
* Preference that candidate be located in Pittsburgh. During COVID, can work remotely, but willing to travel to Pittsburgh per business needs
