As a Raw Materials Operations Lead you will be the primary contact and liaison for our SBUs into the Procurement group. You will handle implementation of sourcing strategies, supplier monitoring and development, and aid in process optimization leading to value capture.

Key Responsibilities:
* Understand and detail site needs, material and packaging specifications, storage details, delivery and certification requirements.
* Implement sourcing strategy; manage change protocols, onboard new suppliers, utilize standard methodologies to negotiate and contract competitively priced raw materials.
* Coordinate with SBU supply chain, marketing, and raw material quality teams to lead and evaluate supplier performance, inventory levels, and to support product launches and business initiatives.
* Clarify order requirements, ensuring orders are placed with the appropriate suppliers and that delivery loads are optimized to reduce overall cost.
* Handle rush orders, vendor management and consignment arrangements, and allocation situations.
* Resolve claims and daily issues with regard to supplier delivery (quality and service and OTIF) and ensures that these are captured and followed through within the related systems (CAIR).
* Lead cost saving projects; price equalization, bundling fragmented spends or moving raw materials to or from a distributor to gain price advantage.
* Lead projects that reduce working capital; review consignment stock and vendor managed inventory, lead-time reduction, ordering patterns, combined shipments and other relevant techniques.
* Work with the AP group to resolve invoice holds and pricing issues when appropriate.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years experience within a purchasing, supply chain, manufacturing, technical, business or other raw material related position is required.
* A Bachelors degree in a technical or business related field of study is required.
* Minimum of one year experience working within IT/ERP systems.
* Must be willing to travel 25% of the time to develop site knowledge and relationships!
* Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
