Are you a skilled business development leader with a strong Industrial and Mining client network? Kiewit Industrial Group, Inc., (KIG) a subsidiary of Kiewit Corporation, seeks a Director level Business Development professional to support project volume and revenue growth within the Western U.S. This position will report to KIG's Vice President, Business Development and lead implementation of business plan objectives, specifically growth objectives focused on expanding Kiewit's industrial and mining client base within Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Location

This position is based within the Western U.S. and may be performed from one of our numerous offices located in western metropolitan areas which can be utilized as a shared work space or can work remote.

Responsibilities

The Business Development Director will grow revenue within the region by developing and executing strategies, processes and best practices to obtain attractive opportunities that fit Kiewit operations, resources, and financial objectives. Specifically, the Business Development Director will be responsible for:
New client acquisition and key account management with the Kiewit's Industrial market defined as: Mineral Processing (Mining), Food and Beverage, Industrial Power & Water, Metals, Data Centers, Manufacturing, Renewable Fuels, Specialty Chemicals, and Ag Products.
Lead client interactions, communications, prequalification, proposals and presentations.
Utilize technical knowledge within industry organizations and events, to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, and when offering clients the most innovative solutions.
Communicate and promote Kiewit's culture and brand thus enabling our ability to stand out as an industry leader.
Facilitate meetings with clients to understand client's organization and challenges, and provide customized solutions, communicating key competitive advantages in Kiewit's Design Build offerings.
Communicate and motivate operational and executive level involvement toward successful client meetings, win strategies and capture plan execution.
Direct the pursuit team in development of white papers, capture plans and Bid No Bid strategies/decisions.
Improve efficiency and effectiveness of the business development process by formulating lessons learned and best prctices, modifying strategy and learnings by conducting debrief meetings with clients, supply chain, project management and executives.
Memorialize account and opportunity data in Kiewit CRM software including communication out to pursuit teams and Kiewit leadership.
Provide support as requested on client contract negotiations.
Support business development for all Kiewit entities as needed and as appropriate.
Become and remain continually informed on industry developments and the competitive landscape.
Identify and communicate competitor and market sector intelligence.

Qualifications

10+ years experience in engineering or construction related Business Development or Sales, in or across the following industries: Mineral Processing (Mining), Food & Beverage, Industrial Power and Water, Metals, Data Centers, Manaufacturing, Renewable Fuels, Specialty Chemicals, and Ag Products.
Must be able to travel 50% of time with overnight stays.
Bachelors degree in engineering, construction or business preferred
Ability to demonstrate several strong current and relevant client relationships within the industrial and mining industries.
Good working knowledge of industrial processes and project development lifecycle.
Must be located within a Western US metropolitan area.
Understanding of engineering and construction contract models and commercial terms.
