General Summary:
The Sr. Merchandising Analytics Analyst supports the Companys Merchandising organization through the development and execution of complex data analysis to monitor performance and identify areas of opportunity as well as supporting the functions store specific space allocation initiative in the Companys remodel program. In addition, the Sr. Analyst supports the Merchandising Business Line Review processes, specifically on merchandise spatial productivity.
Job Details
Utilizes proprietary tools and reports for analysis and evaluation of space allocation and planogram performance, primarily using Companys data warehouse.
Utilizes Companys Test and Learn technology and processes to support key Merchandising initiatives.
Manages and adapts the analytic profiles that supports various demographic / metric driven store-specific merchandise sets.
Utilizes the Companys Spatial Planning Optimizer to generate store specific merchandise space allocations for the Companys remodel program.
Executes special projects and analysis requiring integration between Merchandising, Space Planning, and Store Operations.
Supports Merchandisings usage of the Companys proprietary core forecasting system for all core merchandise resets.
Qualifications
Strong analytical capacity and ability to quickly identify opportunities and/or emerging problems.
Solid general business and financial acumen; retail experience preferred but not required.
Ability to manage and execute multiple projects and priorities.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; solid understanding of relational databases (Access, SQL, 1010data) preferred.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and partner cross-functionally
Strong communication skills.
Work experience and/or Education:
Bachelors degree required.
One to three years relevant professional experience (financial planning and analysis, retail merchandising, space planning, etc.) required.
