Job Summary
The intern will work in a program designed to help college students gain experience and develop the technology, professional and interpersonal skills to use throughout their career. First American Interns work in a corporate environment within the Financial/Title Industrybalanced with intern-specific activities, executive level presentations and networking opportunitieswhile under the close supervision and guidance of a manager and/or mentor. Undergraduate students are assigned significant work assignments to support a specific business function.
Essential Functions
This position will be working with our HRIS team. We are looking for someone with a technology or Human Resources (HR) background and an interest in HR systems. This position will have the opportunity to learn about the Workday application and develop a greater understanding of how it is supported by HRIS and used by the HR function.
Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used:
* Provide implementation, development, testing and debugging support to the HRIS team, including supervised coding, configuration and reporting tasks
* Review and assist in the development of specifications for HR application configuration and integrations, including participation in code reviews
* Assist with documentation of technical and functional development within Workday, including the on-going development, maintenance and improvement of a comprehensive Knowledge Base
Skills
* Understanding of concepts used in developing and documenting technical solutions, such as integrations between software applications
* Strong command of Microsoft tools, such as Excel or Access
* Familiarity with reporting tools and concepts
* Object-oriented programming experience or knowledge of XML, XSLT, X-Path and/or web services
* Prior exposure to Workday platform, including Studio, EIB or Reporting tools is a plus
