Responsible for coordinating external regulatory examinations and audit examinations and US Card and Marketing. This includes serving as the central point of contact working with Business Risk Officers, Legal, and Business Partners to prepare for and respond to examinations, facilitating document production for such examinations, performing qualitative review of information provided in response to examinations to ensure responses are responsive, consistent and accurate, and helping to ensure issues are appropriately advanced and adequate action plans are established. Responsible for assisting with other aspects of exam management, including preparation of the Quarterly Issue Trends and Theme Analysis to promote a risk aware culture.

Responsibilities:

* Acts as central point of contact for all internal and external examinations, and directly interfacing with Senior Management, Business Risk Officers, Law, Business Partners and Regulators. Responsible for coordinating and handling pre-examination activities including, but not limited to, opening meeting materials, self-disclosures, and responding to initial requests. Exercise prudent discretion and decision-making capabilities to provide advice, direction and support to internal business clients.
* During examinations, coordinate, research and draft exam responses and track same. Perform qualitative review of information provided in response to examinations to ensure responses are responsive, consistent and accurate, maintain metrics regarding examination request responsiveness.
* Post-examinations, work with Business Partners to respond to examination reports including, but not limited to, reviewing and drafting action plans and SMOG materials.
* Assists with developing, implementing and evolving first line business risk office efforts to mature processes and develop initiatives to ensure compliance with changes in regulatory environment.
* Maintain exam management procedures and controls, ensuring adherence to governance requirements and working with Legal Risk team as applicable
* Leverages expertise to provide guidance and recommendations for Business Partners across the enterprise to ensure Discover is providing a consistent and comprehensive approach to examinations.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here is what we need from you:

* Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing
* 8+ years of experience in Credit Card Industry, Risk Management, Exams, Internal Audit, or related experience

Bonus Points If You Have:

* Masters degree
* Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager
