Product Marketing Manager, VR: Core Software

Job Description

Facebook Reality Labs organization is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to support our software platform for VR. The ideal candidate will have experience working on rapidly scaling consumer software platforms and a proven track record of influencing product and go to market strategies. They must understand the challenges of ecosystem development, and be able to clearly distill consumer, developer, and business value propositions - and the ways in which they are connected.

The ideal candidate will be able to create a cohesive narrative around our monthly software releases, and execute against this so that we are building a community of users who love to use our products.

This position will join a team responsible for product marketing of Oculus brand hardware and work on our software pillar, collaborating closely with a team of PMMs to create a cohesive consumer experience of our products throughout the shopper journey and post purchase. The role is extremely cross-functional, connecting the dots between product, analytics, user research, comms and marketing. This product marketing team is focused on a balance of inbound product marketing and outbound marketing with internal partners. Inbound product marketing responsibilities include up front analysis to identify market needs by segment, opportunity and audience sizing, product positioning and key messaging, and being the point of view of the user. Outbound strategy will cover campaigns end-to-end, coming up with the mix and execution to highlight and promote how our platform is integrated into a cohesive marketing message for consumers buying and using our devices.

This is a full-time position based at Facebooks office.

Product Marketing Manager, VR: Core Software Responsibilities

* Lead marketing strategy for monthly software releases of all consumer platform software for Oculus

* Partner with Marketing cross functional teams to incorporate platform marketing into consumer touch points across channels (email, blog, social, web, paid media, etc.) and platform surfaces (notifs, feed, etc.)

* Partner with various insights teams to ensure we are learning from both the user signals and the market signals of new launches

* Synthesize disparate insights into actionable recommendations for product and marketing teams

* Contribute to product and strategy reviews as the point of view of the consumer

Minimum Qualifications

* BA/BS degree

* 4+ years professional experience in product marketing or product management

* Analytical and quantitative background

* Communication skills

* Experience in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment

* Experience influencing multiple stakeholders (Product Managers, Data Science, Insights and other Marketers)

* Experience developing campaign strategies and tactics focused on growth and engagement

Preferred Qualifications

* MBA

* Experience with both software and hardware marketing

* Experience with both early stage software and scaled platforms with mass-market adoption

* Experience working on PC or Mobile platforms

* Experience with end-to-end product lifecycle management
