Facebook is looking for a Privacy Policy Manager with expertise in privacy and public policy issues related to financial services and commerce to join our Privacy and Data Policy team. You will develop privacy-protective and innovative approaches that will help guide the development of financial and commerce products and services in a responsible way, in particular the development of Novi the new custodial wallet business for the Diem digital currency. Youll work closely with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional partners across the company, serving as a subject matter expert for Facebook's global policy team on Facebook Financials products and services. You will also engage with external experts around the world, respond to queries from policymakers, and provide input into development of legislation and industry standards. The ideal candidate for this role is a self-starter, a good team player, and creative problem solver. This candidate will be deeply familiar with privacy and public policy issues and in financial services, including blockchain technology, and exercise independent judgement on advising on the implications of new products and features. This candidate will also have a meaningful understanding of and experience with the stakeholders and perspectives in the policy and privacy community. Privacy & Data Policy Manager Responsibilities
* Evaluate and provide guidance on the privacy implications of payments and blockchain products, services, features, education, and controls
* Work with software developers, designers, lawyers, product managers, and others to help interdisciplinary teams simultaneously address policy, legal, engineering, user interface, business, marketing and other privacy requirements
* Consult with external experts to improve to guide our approach to building financial products
* Analyze global legislative and regulatory proposals concerning privacy, data security, financial issues, and other technology issues
Minimum Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree
* 4+ years of experience with privacy, data security, technology and/or financial policy issues (2+ years with advanced degree in similar field)
* Experience counseling clients around privacy, data security, or policy issues and managing multiple business priorities
* Experience prioritizing multiple simultaneous projects
Preferred Qualifications
* JD or equivalent, MPP, or technical degree
* Experience with privacy and/or public policy issues related to financial services and blockchain technology
* Working familiarity with privacy legislative frameworks
* Experience creating policy analysis and presentations
* Experience planning and executing cross-functional initiatives
