Job Description

Facebook is seeking a seasoned financial systems, controls and analytics professional to provide strategic guidance and solutioning in support of achieving a highly automated, effective and scalable global digital accounting operations. This leader will work and collaborate with multiple accounting, finance and Enterprise Engineering leaders/partners to harness technology and innovation to accelerate our digital accounting transformation while managing risks and controls. In addition, the ideal candidate will leverage existing and emerging technologies to automate existing processes while using analytics and data to enhance accounting capabilities and risk management. This position will report to the Assistant Corporate Controller.

Director, Financial Systems, Controls and Analytics Responsibilities

* Define the systems and control vision for the record to report process while supporting all business and products initiatives

* Understand the entire record to report system landscape and dependencies/data flows. Also, build relationships with all of the system engineering teams, and ensure that roadmaps reflect accounting team requirements

* Lead and manage implementation of new systems and enhancements for all of the record to report system initiatives, including assessing resource needs, coordinating with our Enterprise Engineering partners

* Developing and maintaining a continuous improvement approach to ensure processes and controls scale with changes in business, products, technology, and accounting policy

* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and other business partners in a way that fosters an open environment of continuous dialogue and information exchange, and yet challenges the status quo to continuously improve the control environment

* Maintaining awareness of significant changes impacting the business, both internally and externally, and ensuring appropriate proactive actions to modify/expand control activities and framework to mitigate existing or emerging risks

* Introducing automation into the SOX process by working together with Enterprise Engineering and control owners as controls are automated

* Collaborate with our two lines of defense to ensure risks are properly and timely identified and managed/mitigated

* Collaborate with our Enterprise Engineering partners in developing a roadmap for future enhancements and changes, with a goal to streamline, automate, and transform the financial statement and key financial process

* Deliver end-to-end digital transformation while accelerating continuous analytics, continuous compliance and continuous risk management

* Use analytical techniques to measure the drivers of risk and effectiveness of internal controls in the global record-to-report process

* Work closely with Enterprise Engineering to complete analysis, data mining, define key metrics, design dashboards, and improve operational excellence

* Partner with internal audit to maintain documentation, working closely with cross functional teams to identify process gaps, develop, implement and maintain controls. Lead the assessment of any control exception and coordinate with Facebooks internal audit function and independent auditors

* Create and maintain a risk assessment of our system landscape including SOX control interaction, system roadmap changes that would impact our processes, and creating mitigation plans where needed. Partner with Internal Audit to document and maintain the control structure over our internal control environment

* Lead special projects and other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

* 12+ years of systems/internal controls combined with accounting experience

* 12+ years of experience scaling large organizations or combination of audit/consulting experience

* Bachelor's degree in information systems, accounting, or related field

* Experience leading transformation initiatives, process improvements and automation projects

* Experience with internal control frameworks and SOX compliance

Preferred Qualifications

* CPA, CIA, CISA or equivalent

* Deep knowledge in Information systems, data analytics or ERP implementation

* Understanding of accounting system and operations knowledge

* Experience executing in a dynamic, high speed and demanding environment by demonstrating organizational, interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
