Facebook seeks a highly motivated and experienced attorney who is enthusiastic about technology and its potential for positive impact in peoples lives to serve as an Associate General Counsel on Facebooks product counseling team. This role will focus on supporting Facebook Connectivitys mission - to bring more people online to a faster Internet. The role will work closely with product, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams, as well as other legal department subgroups, and will require creating and applying legal frameworks to new and innovative products and services. Associate General Counsel, Product (Connectivity) Responsibilities
* Review global products, features, platforms and initiatives to provide practical legal risk mitigation strategies for products across multiple jurisdictions
* Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with legal advice across many subject areas including privacy and data protection laws and regulations, and other global legal frameworks
* Help drive consensus and coordinate with public policy, partnerships, communications and other cross-functional teams on multi-disciplinary issues
Minimum Qualifications
* J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
* 8+ years of legal experience (including at a law firm or in-house experience)
* Experience working independently and cross-functionally
* Experience working on multiple projects at once in a fast-paced environment
* Proven problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in-house at a technology company
* Experience counseling in B2B, telecommunications, infrastructure, wireless and/or mobile technologies
