Job Description

Facebook app is looking for someone to lead the team responsible for representing, supporting and celebrating communities across all social channels. The right candidate will have proven experience crafting innovative, best in class, multi-channel social programs. This person will have demonstrated strong team management skills, mentoring and fostering growth of individuals on their team. They are immersed in culture and understand how to find insights within diverse communities across all the key social platforms. This person will serve a vital role elevating underrepresented audiences including the Black, Latinx and LGBTQIA+ communities. This person is agile, has a strong eye for quality and accuracy, and is able to translate strategy to sharp, witty and fun social experiences. As a lead, they will be looked to as a subject matter expert for social within the organization and will be responsible for a high volume of work across their team.

Editorial & Social Lead, Facebook App Responsibilities

* Lead high performance teams across social disciplines.

* Build content strategy rooted in culture, driving the value of community.

* Build strong collaborative relationships and alliances with key internal and external teams and partners to prioritize and establish the teams roadmap.

* Oversee multiple editorial strategies and manage external and internal teams and creators to deliver content against these strategies.

* Become an expert of and champion for Facebook's Community, making sure our content is focused on their needs.

* Foster advocate groups supporting the team managing large group communities.

* Understand the social presence of the brand and constantly imagine innovative ways to better position Facebook apps value to the world.

* Analyze community, cultural, technological and market trends to inform strategic and creative development for content.

* Collaborate and support creative partners in content creation and optimization.

* Support strategists, media, insights and community managers to find the right audience for our content, the best ways to reach them and ways to measure the impact of the work.

Minimum Qualifications

* Demonstrated experience in contributing to and amplifying culture, content, and trends in social media.

* 5+ years of experience with team leadership or cross-functional team leadership delivering collective results against company goals/objectives.

* 15+ years experience leading social channels and/or content programs.

* Experience navigating highly collaborative and dynamic organizations.

* Demonstrated experience building communities in the social space, leading proactive and reactive communications through moderation.

* Experience working with external moderation partners and triaging response/escalation opportunities.
