Data Analyst, Media Partnerships Strategy & Planning

Job Description

The Media Partnerships team works with leading content creators, publishers, and businesses across Entertainment, News, and Sports, ensuring that Facebook is a primary channel to engage with their audience and drive their business. We seek an experienced Data Analyst to join the Media Partnerships Strategic Planning & Operations (SP&O) team in support of this work. The Data Analyst in this position will help identify opportunities to improve our partner management strategy and contribute to discussions around resource allocation and process optimization. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data to drive business strategy, has hands-on experience with state of the industry analytics software and techniques, and is effective at communicating insights and recommendations to leadership and executives.

Data Analyst, Media Partnerships Strategy & Planning Responsibilities

* Co-own/support end-to-end development of data products and workflows designed to improve processes for serving partners

* Support technical implementation of data products in collaboration with Data Engineering/Tools teams

* Maintain and improve reporting data tools, infra for org goals, and production data models

* Serve as a subject matter expert for analytics, consulting on strategically important projects

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Product, Marketing, Communications, and Corporate Strategy

* Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership stakeholders clearly and concisely

Minimum Qualifications

* 2+ years of professional experience extracting insights from large, technical data sets, and communicating recommendations to varied audiences including high-level management/academics

* Proven stakeholder management experience - including managing multiple cross-functional partners simultaneously

* Demonstrated experience thinking strategically about complex issues, leading to thoughtful recommendations and action plans

* 2+ years of practical experience querying SQL databases

* 2+ years of experience visualizing data

* Experience with analytics software/languages such as Tableau, Looker, Python or R

* Demonstrated experience learning technical skills independently

Preferred Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or physics

* Undergraduate degree in social sciences with masters in technical field

* 2+ years of practical experience using Python to access, analyze, and visualize data

* Demonstrated mastery of data manipulation and visualization modules such as pandas, matplotlib, seaborn, etc.

* Experience sourcing data from APIs using HTTP requests, parsing json etc.

* Practical experience with advanced analytics techniques such as linear models, time series analysis/forecasting, classification

* Basic experience with machine learning techniques such as text-based analysis (NLP), supervised and unsupervised models such as KNN, K-means, random forests, GPT, and similar

* Experience in technical administration/maintenance of enterprise CRMs
