About the role:

Boston Scientifics Global Service Management System (GSMS) team has an opportunity for a Technical Architect to become a part of the winning team that defines, delivers, and supports the Enterprises Capital Equipment Technology Services organization. The GSMS Technical Architect is responsible for providing the architectural vision and direction for GSMS technologies in support of relevant business processes. The successful candidate will act as the voice of the technical solution and lead the development team in delivering solutions and supporting the GSMS ServiceMax platform through engagement with external partners and internal experts. The candidate must be extremely results-driven, customer focused, technologically savvy, and skilled at building internal and external relationships.

Your responsibilities include:

* Works as the GSMS Technical Lead and SME for all related applications
* Designs the overall approach to conforming and quality-assuring all raw source data through the complex data flow that comprises the GSMS solution
* Owns the Service Model and the ServiceMax architecture, and is responsible for their ongoing evolution to support the business
* Works closely with the Enterprise Architect to
* Analyze current business practices, user needs and workflow processes
* Understand the business problems, needs, or opportunities and design a virtualized solution that completely and correctly addresses the business problem, need, or opportunity
* Design and implement solutions that support the BSC ServiceMax capability
* Participates in architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of the overall enterprise solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines
* Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering system capacity, limitations, and desired results
* Evaluates the effect of external factors on designed solution
* Completes development tasks following prescribed methodology
* Primary ServiceMax point of contact to the BSC SFDC CoE, providing coordination and leadership for release planning, environment maintenance on other related activities
* Recommends modifications to application design or current procedures to maximize advantages of existing resources
* Leads the development team and ensures they stay active and productive
* Provides design review and code review oversight for the development team
* Acts as main point of escalation for technical questions from developers / configurators
* Applies industry knowledge of SFDC/ServiceMax to address business challenges using technical standards and infrastructure, cross-industry trends that impact IT investment, industry-specific roadmaps, and IT enablers
* Demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

What were looking for:

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field required
* 10+ years of combined IT Analyst, Developer, Tech Lead or Architect experience
* 5+ years of experience required in administering, configuring, and developing solutions in ServiceMax
* Experience with Agile delivery practices, preferably in a lead role
* Experience in data mastering technology patterns, data integration, data duality and core data mastering (i.e. matching, trust/survivorship and merging) components
* Strong understanding of relational databases such Oracle & SQL Server
* Ability to lead a team in multiple cross-functional initiatives toward common goals
* Proven leadership in partnering with external vendors and business partners on projects
* Strong team building skills, with ability to build quick and effective work rapport with distributed team members
* Must be self-motivated in learning new concepts and willing to share knowledge and skills with other team members
* Outspoken and passionate about delivering well designed solutions that exceed business objectives and drive business success
* Well organized and capable of managing multiple priorities
* Ability to work in a fast paced, self-directed, action-oriented environment
* Excellent interpersonal communication skills including oral, written, and listening skills
* Proven understanding of software development and operations methodologies
* Experience working in a matrix environment and delivering projects and services via a combination of internal, contract, and outsourced resources
* Ability to travel a small percentage of time as needed

Preferred Qualifications

* Masters degree in Computer Science, MIS, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience in life science or other regulated industry
