About the role:

This position works independently to assist R&D engineers, scientists, and/or teams in the development and analysis of products, materials, processes, or equipment.

Your responsibilities include:

* Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts.
* Utilize basic mechanical drawings or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures.
* Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts.
* Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions.
* Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards.
* Use internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams to identify and obtain supplies and services.
* Act as a resource to other employees.
* Communicate project status to project teams.
* Performs mostly non-routine technical assignments requiring basic interpretation of established procedures.
* Assists in the design, development, evaluation or modification of all area-specific equipment, materials, systems, and/or product. Assignments require broad judgment in troubleshooting proven processes as well as the ability to suggest alternatives.

* Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline.
* 3+ years of related experience.
* Knowledge in inventory tracking systems a plus.
* Experience in medical device industry a plus.
