About This Role:

A Senior QA Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for failure analysis activities in the post market quality organization. Looking for a technical, cross-functional leader to partner across the organization in pursuit of meeting Post Market Quality

Assurance objectives at the local and global levels.

Function or Divisional Overview:

In Rhythm Management (RM) we offer solutions for treating irregular heart rhythms and heart failure, and protecting against sudden cardiac arrest. In addition, we offer solutions with cardiac 3D Mapping and Navigation systems, Radiofrequency Ablation catheters, Diagnostic Catheters, Electrophysiology recording systems, and Intracardiac Access Sheaths. Boston Scientific develops, manufactures, and markets a broad array of products and services that enable less-invasive care for some of the most threatening cardiac conditions. Weve been expanding indications and conducting pivotal research for nearly 20 years, resulting in increased access to the lifesaving and life-enhancing benefits of ICD and CRT therapies

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

* Assumes technical leadership role in functional area by using technical expertise and knowledge to support new market released technology.
* Determines emerging technological trends by reviewing scientific data, and communicating with colleagues on scientific boards in order to obtain information and resources for future Boston Scientific needs.
* Conducts research and/or manages major programs, reviews technical journals and interfaces with suppliers and outside technical experts.
* Participates in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications.
* Acts as spokesperson to customers and external stakeholders on Boston Scientific capabilities
* Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories in their particular area of expertise
* Leads or participates in technical strategy planning for Boston Scientific
* Mentors lab technicians during complaint/analysis investigations.
* May be asked to manage projects/project plans outlining work plans including timelines, roles and resources; Identifies and leads cross-functional project team comprised of functional experts and local managers.
* Analyze returned products to address complaints and to ensure a high level of product quality
* Communicate product quality issues to cross functional areas including Research and Development, Supplier Quality and Manufacturing
* Lead or participate in cross functional teams to resolve quality issues
* Interpret complex technical issues for a non-technical audience
* Provide techical support for regulatory and legal inquiries
* Develop novel methods to effectively analyze product complaints
* Performs a variety of duties in the electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, chemical, or optical areas.

What Were Looking For In You:

Minimum Qualifications

* BS with 9-13 years of relevant experience or MS with 7-11 years of relevant experience
* Technical and business process problem solver
* Ability to travel a few times a year
* Critical thinking, troubleshooting and problem solving ability
* Experience working in a regulated enviroment

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in working across multiple product areas and cross functionally with RM DA, R&D and Manufacturing teams
* Well known and respected leader in one or more RM or EP product areas
* Ability to defend own and others technical work to Director/VP/Fellow levels
* Significant cross-divisional experiences
* Professionalism to represent BSC to external entities
* Electrical, mechanical or materials background
