What You Will Achieve
As a Scientist in the exploratory assay team within the Bacterial Vaccines and Technology (BVT) group, you will be at the center of our operations. Youll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. Our team plays a key role in the early development of vaccines, focusing on implementing supporting cell-based assays that measure functional immune responses to candidate antigens. You will be an active team member who will use your creativity and ability work collaboratively to influence at the project team level. Your cell-biology background and prior experience will allow you to adapt existing approaches while applying new ideas and techniques to develop mechanistically relevant immunogenicity assays.

Qualifications
Must-Have
* B.S./M.S. (non-Ph.D.) degree in cell biology, microbiology, or a related discipline
* Minimum of 3+ years of cell biology related research experience post-graduation
* At least 1 year of hands-on experience with microplate assay development
* Demonstrated ability to interpret and summarize experimental data
* Background in working with microbial pathogens is mandatory
* Proficiency in basic cell biology techniques including microscopy and flow cytometry
* Experience with mammalian cell culture
* Ability to troubleshoot assay development challenges
* Excellent organizational skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, strong motivation and a dedicated work ethic
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and relevant scientific software, including graphing/statistical analysis tools
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Nice-to-Have
* Experience with liquid handling lab automation
* Experience with bactericidal assays or viral neutralization assays
