ROLE SUMMARY
Performs validation for analytical procedures. Executes method transfer protocols. Performs analytical testing following developmental protocols. Participates in technical problems associated with the manufacture, handling and storage of products by using analytical instrumentation, and classical wet chemical tests. Identifies and implements improvements in analytical testing methods. Provides training of analytical methods and new technologies. Performs all activities under cGMP and company policies.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Applies fundamental knowledge of Analytical Chemistry in analysis, interpretation and understanding of the test results, for both qualitative and quantitative analyses.
Performs routine and non-routine testing, as required.
Performs with supervision analytical method validation for drug substance, drug product or any relevant material per FDA, USP/NF and or other pharmacopeias as applicable, and ICH guidelines and following an approved protocol.
Provides expertise to the laboratory investigation and assists in performing and writing investigation reports.
Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and performance qualification of applicable instruments.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree in Chemistry or related science field with 2 to 5 years of analytical chemical laboratory experience. Analytical skills desired.
Knowledge of modern analytical instruments and software; familiarity with modern chromatographic techniques is desirable; ability to use various software such as Empower, Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
