What You Will Achieve

Working with a dynamic team of Logistics and Supply Chain experts, you will play a critical role in planning, issuing and managing production schedules. Thanks to your planning skills, youll manage the material supply and demand to ensure a controlled flow of approved material and equipment based on the production and inventory requirements. Your coordination skills will help in interdepartmental planning activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic etc.

As a Senior Associate, your knowledge and skills will contribute towards the goals and objectives of the team. Your focus and ability to meet team targets will help in completing important deliverables on time. Your innovative use of communication tools and techniques will make it easy to manage difficult issues and help in establishing consensus between teams.

How You Will Achieve It

* Provides leadership in strategic planning for onboarding new manufacturing processes and current manufacturing processes including facilitation of issue resolution. Coordinating operation and support groups activities in the sourcing of production materials and components that are used in operations at the Sanford facility.
* Work from customer/supplier specifications in the sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and production inventory items for new and commercial products.
* Maintain timely and accurate knowledge of purchasing expenditures, supplier information, and inventory levels for all operations and assist in identifying replacement material purchases for the site when needed.
* Issue accurate reports and recommendations for site managements appraisal of operations performance. Interface with various Pfizer site locations, development organizations and key external and internal business partners
* Monitor raw material inventory, issue production schedule and materials needed in the production area.
* Provide cross site support for material and sample management.
* Coordinate with other departments for the testing and release activities in support of product release.
* Generate alternative plan if problem lot/batch cannot be released within the scheduled time frame.
* Responsible for working with cross-functional teams to on BOMs (bill of material) and initiating electronic builds as applicable for new BoMs/BoM changes
* Tracks procurement and enrollment of material per manufacturing program needs; ensures the material qualification process is completed within appropriate timelines.
* Works with quality, technical, purchasing groups to determine and aid suppliers with implementing process capability & reliability measures for key sources.
* Prepares required reports as to progress, order status, activity, department budgeted forecasts, and miscellaneous projects related to operations and controls
* Coordinate purchasing activities for the implementation of new products/processes and associated purchased material requirements.
* Direct meetings with cross site functional areas with emphasis on resolving outstanding issues, communicating schedule priorities, and facilitating interdepartmental discussions.

Qualifications

Must-Have

* BS in Business or Science plus minimum 4 years of experience in purchasing / supply management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, required.
* Excellent verbal and written communications, as well as organizational and planning skills are required.
* Ability to work independently
* Able to create detailed plans and activity schedules for execution to meet inventory requirements
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Team based collaborative problem solving skills
* Strong project management skills

Nice-to-Have

* Prior purchasing/supply chain/planning or other Materials Management related experience is preferred
* Must possess strong automated system/PC experience (Microsoft Excel, SAP, Labware, QTS, etc.)
