ROLE SUMMARY
Leads standard work and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple work centers associated with vaccine production in the Filling/Formulation organizations. Provides technical expertise and operational support for vaccine operations, with a focus on production processes. Partners with shop floor colleagues and supervision to ensure standard work principles are implemented and guidelines are followed.
There are two positions available. One supporting Aseptic Filling and one supporting Formulation for Covid vaccine production. Successful candidates will be selected to a position based on interest, background, and qualifications.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify and help implement cost savings ideas, specifically area efficiency improvements and other projects that increase equipment capacity.
* Analyze data from throughout different stages of production to determine control over applicable variables.
* Own/facilitate the continuous improvement process by understanding the overall needs of the area and ensuring that the right projects are being escalated at the right time.
* Analyze the output of standard work initiatives and propose changes to standard work based on the data. Propose and facilitate continous improvement of standard work.
* Conduct tests and measurements throughout stages of production to determine control over applicable variables.
* Lead Operational Excellence initiatives (i.e. Kanban, M1 investigations, GB certification, etc.), develop OpEx skills of colleagues, and drive a culture of continuous improvement with their team.
* Partner with shopfloor colleagues, leadership and enablers to ensure continous improvement intiatives are identified and completed in a timely manner.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* BA/BS plus a minimum of 2 years experience or MBA/MS plus a minimum of 1 years experience in a science or engineering related field
* Basic project management and presentation skills are required.
* Basic financial skills and business acumen are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Specific knowledge of and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment is highly desirable.
* Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience and strong, demonstrated technical skills exhibited in a cGMP environment are preferred. Specific knowledge of and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment is highly desirable.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Job will include standing, walking, and sitting. Occasional lifting may be required.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Occasional travel may be required for specific projects or training.
Aseptic gowning training is required. Job may also require occasional weekend/evening work supporting a 24-hour/7 day operation.
