This role will work closely across our rights management team to protect and monetize timely news and viral video content in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about news, social media and trending online content.

You will have a background in digital media and know how to apply those skills to user-created content. You will also excel at identifying freebooted social content, and have excellent judgment about what marks out must-see user-generated footage.

The successful candidate will be eager to learn about the emerging technologies in digital rights protection, and be discerning about identifying and resolving intellectual property issues.

In this role, youll be trained on our industry-leading technologies and learn our processes for finding and verifying social media content from news events happening around the world.

Video editing skills are preferred, but not essential for consideration. This role will require weekend and evening work.

This role will involve:

* Protecting Storyfuls video asset library via Facebook and Youtube content managers
* Applying monetization and ownership policies to relevant video assets

* Proactively discovering and asserting ownership rights over disputed and freebooted content

* Activating and optimizing Storyfuls archival video content for monetization

* Assisting in identifying and resolving intellectual property rights issues with content creators, competitors, and clients

* Applying SEO best practices to video assets across multiple social media platforms

* Generating sales leads and converting of scraped content into revenue-generating sources

* Engaging in customer service with clients and content creators

* Daily reporting of assets monetized and protected

* Working to deadlines and setting targets

Experience Required:

* A fluid, natural communicator comfortable in dealing with contentious intellectual property rights issues.
* A self-starter who is plugged into current events around the world.

* Expert understanding of social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, etc.

* Ability to spot emerging stories on social media, identify the source, and verify the content

* Excellent computer skills including basic knowledge of spreadsheets and publishing within content management systems.

* Preferred but not required: knowledge of the YouTube CMS and Facebook Creator Studio
