Business Analyst

News Corp, a global media and information services company, is looking for a Business Analyst to join our exceptional Enterprise Solutions organization!

This individual will be an integral member of the Enterprise Solutions team who has experience with in depth budgeting, analysis, and strong PowerPoint skills. The Business Analyst will be tasked with working with the Enterprise Solutions team to handle expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting. Additionally, the Business Analyst is required to translate business requirements through analysis and design into functional solutions, and to work on a variety of Ad hoc projects.

Location: USA (New York, NY)

Job Responsibilities:

Work with the Enterprise Solutions Team to handle expense reporting, budgeting and forecasting for both financials and headcount

Oversee the financial aspects of various strategic initiatives: manage financials for transformation initiatives, establish cost allocation and departmental activities

Gather and synthesize data in various forms by fostering relationships across geographical and functional teams

Develop high quality presentations including detailed decision making decks, high level summary decks, and detailed status reports

Quickly adapt to changes in business strategy

Help the leadership team communicate solution value to key stakeholders

Business Analyst helps in guiding businesses in improving processes, products, services and software through data analysis.

Required & Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field required

2+ years of Business Analysis experience preferred

Strong knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) and PowerPoint

Ability work collaboratively within a team and have strong influencing skills

Must be able to manage multiple priorities and complex tasks in a dynamic work environment

Must be skilled in analytical techniques, practices and problem solving

Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at all levels including customers, vendors, peers, business stakeholders and management required

Must be self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team

Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills

Excellent customer service skills
