Job Description
Part-Time Features Reporter
Hours: Monday and Friday, 11:30 am 7:30 pm, plus the occasional extrashift
Responsibilities:
* Come up with trending story ideas that can be turned around quickly, based off buzzy articles online that could traffic well with a unique spin
* Respond to assignments on breaking entertainment and lifestyle news
* Write 3-4 articles a day
* Work with team on adding multimedia elements to stories in CMS
* Make calls for and research stories that could use more reporting
Requirements:
* Ability to work quickly but with accuracy and style
* Have an eye for stories that will traffic highly
* Ability to pick up assignments on a wide range of topics, from obituaries on obscure but popular YouTubers to capturing the latest internet chatter over a new trend
