Lockheed Martin is looking for world-class talent in Operations Analysis to join our Skunk Works team in Palmdale, CA. The selected candidate, collaborating with a team of analysts, will be responsible for modeling and analysis of military systems to quantify the impact of operational concepts, air vehicle design, payloads, and tactics. Responsibilities will include researching and modeling military systems performance and operations; developing analytical methods and tools to facilitate analyses; executing trade studies; performing data analytics & statistical analysis; and developing effective presentations that succinctly communicate results and findings. Analyses performed will support requirements definition, system of system evaluation, and military utility assessment of advanced technology and concepts.

The candidate will be expected to apply engineering-based techniques, analytical methods, and critical thinking; think strategically and creatively with proven problem-solving skills; and thrive in a high-performing team environment. The candidate will be able to distill large amounts of technical data into impactful, actionable takeaways. The successful candidate must demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills as the position will require frequent interactions and collaboration with leadership, project leads, team members, and engineers in other disciplines. The ability to travel on occasion is required.

Applicant must be a US Citizen, as position is located at a facility that requires special access. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Top Secret clearance required with ability to obtain SAP clearances.

A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or above degree from an accredited college in related technical discipline

Scripting/data processing experience (MATLAB, Perl, Python, VBA, or similar)
Desired Skills:
Aerospace, mechanical, or electrical engineering degree preferred
Military operations analysis experience; mission and/or campaign analysis a plus
Knowledge of military systems, operations, and Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS)
Experience modeling airborne and surface military platform, sensor, or weapon performance and operations
Experience applying discrete or Monte Carlo simulations; with knowledge of AFSIM, EADSIM, or ESAMS a plus
Technical task/project lead experience
Experience executing studies, post-processing/data mining, and presenting results
Technical experience in radar, electronic warfare, aerodynamics, infrared, communications, cyber, or AI
Proficient in analytical methods (e.g. design of experiments, optimization, or statistical analysis)
Proficient in data analytics, big data/science, and data visualization
Experience working on Windows and/or LINUX computer systems
Software development / programming experience
