Description:
The VH-92A Cabin Interior Support Technician shall provide on-site technical support touch labor services at the Presidential Helicopter Support Facility (PHSF), Patuxent River, MD during normal business hours and be available to cover unplanned requirements at the PHSF. The Cabin Interior Support Technician must have experience conducting manufacturing, assembly, minor and intermediate repairs, and evaluate and disposition and intermediate and advanced restoration tasks on VH-92A cabin interior components. The Technician shall work in coordination with the VH-92A Fleet Support Team per the Fleet Engineering Disposition process via the PHSF Maintenance Officer (MO) and Assistant Maintenance Officer. Technical support and touch labor services include the following:
a. Provide on and off aircraft repair and minor and intermediate rework of VH-92A cabin interior components at the PHSF. Including, but not limited to:
Incoming Step and Gap Inspections
Incoming Interior Component/System Functional Checks
Assist in Interior System Removal and Documentation
Perform Back-Shop Incoming Component Inspection
Perform Damage Triage (RoR/Scrap/Offload)
Perform Functional/Interval Inspections on Seats per CMM
Perform Back-Shop Outgoing Aesthetic/Functional Inspections
Assist in Install Acoustic Mitigation System
Assist in Full Class-A Interior Installation
Assist in Pre-Delivery Inspection/Dealer Prep
Manufacture New Flooring (Carpet/Lincoin) to Pattern/Bond/Seam
Perform Carpet Edge Binding-Serge Machining
Strip and Re-Rag Ultra-Leather Interior Panels
Repair of Soundproofing (Fab/Sew)
Non-Structural/Class BC Finish Composite Repair
Interior Paint - Touch Up
Wood Finish - Buff
Minor Repair Window Shades (String Tension/Inner Transparency)
Plan to offload/subcontract seat and wood refurbishment as required (T&M)
b. On a case-by-case basis, provide on-site technical support, and on and off aircraft repair and rework of VH-92A cabin interior components at HMX-1.
c. Assist the PHSF Maintenance team with cabin interior depopulation, repopulation, and MT-1 to MT-2/MT-2 to MT-1 conversion in order to facilitate maintenance and reconstitution actions.
d. Provide beyond economic repair, beyond physical repair, and beyond capable maintenance determinations using reach back OEM/SME Support.
e. In concert with the PHSF Supply Support Team, for parts that require repair beyond artisans upholsterer's capability, coordinate off-station restoration requirements for VH-92A cabin interior components with applicable OEMs reach back OEM/SME Support.
f. Provide recommendations for Technical Publication Discrepancy Reports (TPDRs), Engineering Investigations (EIs) and various maintenance/ failure analyses via PHSF Quality Assurance (QA).
g. Reach back OEM/SME Support to render technical guidance to resolve difficult and unusual maintenance problems with cabin interior components.
h. Assist the PHSF MO with establishing organizational, intermediate, and depot level repair capability for VH-92A cabin interior components. Regarding this initiative, provide the PHSF MO with a listing of facilities equipment, test equipment, special tooling, and common tooling required.
Considerable on-the-job training and experience required.
Basic Qualifications:
To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:
Security Clearance: Top Secret Yankee White,
3 years of experience with VIP aircraft maintenance and Carbon Fiber repair experience

- Applicants selected must be able to successfully pass a background investigation and drug test.
Additionally, any roles requiring Department of Defense Security Clearances will require US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
Preferably, you should also have these desired skills:
A&P License preferred, Experience with VIP upholstery in removal/installs/modifications.
Experience in providing on-the-job and technical and classroom training to US Govt maintenance personnel.
