Essential Job Duties:
* Oversee day-to-day payroll administration, including maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships and ensuring alignment with service level and employee experience expectations, for our US and Canada colleague population.
* Supervise payroll processing and resolution of inquiries; may directly process payroll and resolve inquiries when necessary.
* Audit payroll team outputs for alignment with service level expectations, transactional processing accuracy, and compliance with all internal controls.
* Ensure accurate and timely reporting of employee information, costs, statement of earnings, and remittances.
* Manage special payroll runs such as Restricted stock, Bonuses, and other incentive program payouts.
* Work with Benefits to manage Payrolls processing of retirement programs and benefits.
* Ensure approved payroll policies and procedures are documented, updated and securely stored using appropriate channels.
* Develop and deliver payroll processing training to grow the knowledge base and capability of the payroll team, supporting effective centralized payroll administration.
* Provide training, coaching, mentoring, and regular communication to ensure a high-performance and engaged payroll team.
* Support Senior Manager to ensure the organizations compliance with payroll tax reporting and withholding responsibilities.
* Meet payroll operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems and escalations; identify system and process improvements.
* Coordinate and support year-end activities such as calendar year-end employment earnings, deductions, and benefits.
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelors degree in business management, human resources and management, accounting, or other relevant discipline.
* A minimum of 8 years of payroll experience in a fast paced or high-growth environment.
* At least 3 years in a management capacity required.
* Previous experience in delivering or overseeing the delivery of Canadian payroll.
* Previous experience with 401k, retirement programs, and incentive programs such as bonuses and restricted stock distributions.
* Ability to analyze data and summarize findings in a concise and meaningful manner.
* Organizational and priority-setting skills necessary to oversee and administer multiple projects across systems and countries and manage to tight deadlines.
* Prior experience with ADP, EV5, Pay@Work, Workforce Now, Peoplesoft, SAP Payroll, Workday, ECP, Oracle HR, Successfactors, or Kronos.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to work well with others. Basic knowledge of federal and state wage and hour and employment law is required.
MACHINES, EQUIPMENT, AND SOFTWARE: Computer, 10-key calculator, multi-user telephone system, copier, fax machine and Microsoft Office software.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITONS: This position requires sitting and typing for long periods of time. Must have the ability to work under conditions of frequent interruptions and be attentive to detail.

• On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
• S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
