Essential Job Duties:
* Assists with scheduling and oversees daily assignments of warehouse personnel to ensure quality control and maximum productivity of team members assigned.
* Supervises and assists in the storage and handling of production material that has been received or needs to be shipped.
* Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse facility to reflect cleanliness, efficiency and organization.
* Supervises all warehouse personnel, assigns tasks and duties on a daily basis; i.e., shipping and receiving of inventory and proper storage of parts.
* Enforces and coaches personnel in the safe work practices and requirements to ensure a safe and hazard-free workplace.
* Analyzes or resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work issues or concerns.
* Establishes or adjust work procedures to meet deadlines.
* Performs warehouse activities to include parts pulling, staging and loading/unloading and stocking of trucks.
* Assist with the management of personnel which may include interviewing, hiring, performance evaluations, terminations, disciplinary action, etc.
* Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ Corporation quality improvement system.
* Assume all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Basic Qualifications (Minimum Required Experience, Education, Knowledge/Skills/Abilities, Essential Physical Demands):
* Education & Experience: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired. At least one year of warehouse related experience, and prior supervisory experience desired, supplemented by on-the-job training, to learn duties, nature of work performed, procedures, work methods, to become familiar with the company's products, locations, machines and equipment, operating methods, and to attain proficiency requirements and to fully assume responsibilities of the job. Forklift certification beneficial.
* Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: General knowledge and ability to perform relatively simple work using basic arithmetic. Must be able to recognize bin numbered locations. Must be familiar with the company's products and warehouse methods, techniques and procedures. Must be able to work in cooperation with others. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Must be able to communicate effectively with others. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends. Should possess special skills in the operation of a forklift in negotiating the lift in close quarters. Ability to lead others in a professional demeanor.
* Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: Forklift, order selector, pallet jack, pull cart, ladder, Computer terminal, Microsoft Access Software, custom software and telephone. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery. Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. They must be able to climb ladders, stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet.
* WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Should be able to tolerate high and low temperature levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud.
Preferred Qualifications:
* High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent desired.
* Forklift certification is beneficial.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish) a definite plus.

• On December 22, 2015, LKQ announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the holding company of Rhiag-Inter Auto Parts Italia
• S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
