This role requires that you are a master of methodology, a creative thinker and an analytical expert in proving why Live Nations live music going audience is a valuable resource for brands. You are consultative in your approach having the ability to interpret complex business challenges into research objectives and client-specific research engagements. You should be equal portions of creative researcher, data storyteller, product innovator, brand marketer and are driven by the drive of business development.
THE JOB
Live Nation Entertainments Media & Sponsorship Division is looking for a highly resourceful team player to bring their passion for live music and interest in creative research methodologies and data storytelling to the position of Director, Fan & Partner Insights (Quantitative Insights Lead).
The Media & Sponsorship, Fan Insights team is tasked with empowering the overall organization and specifically, the sales team and our clients, with thought provoking insights - those that can help inspire creative partnerships and create competitive advantage. In an age where its harder than ever to reach Millennial/Gen Z in traditional manners, the teams goal is to uncover insights that help Live Nation and our partners differentiate amongst all types of media and entertainment and help our clients develop meaningful cultural connections with their consumers.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Research & Storytelling:
* Lead strategic custom quantitative research and insights projects for key prioritized clients (immediate need)
* Contribute to prioritized sales categories and audiences/theme reports (i.e., Live Music + Automotive) (long-term goal)
* Conduct and synthesize quantitative research
* Have a keen understanding of the landscape of cutting-edge research partners, provide recommendations on partner selection and manage vendor relationships from proposal to project completion experience in managing a panel provider and synthesizing data from third-party sources (YouGov, ComScore, Nielsen, etc.) and/or first-party data
* Liaise with internal departments, including Data/Audience Insights, Sales/Brand Management, Integrated Marketing, etc.
* Proactively identify and inform the team where research may be able to help support a pitch or presentation
Business Development (pitches and holistic client growth):
* Collaborate with Live Nations in-house creative agency on specific brand strategies for proposal development of new business pitches and key renewals for existing partnerships
* Inform internal brainstorm sessions
* Dynamically present live music or industry specific insights at key client meetings
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
* 10 years experience of consumer insights (client/agency/consulting), brand management, or brand marketing
* Possesses knowledge of popular culture, live music/entertainment marketing, the current media landscape, the technology landscape and people-based marketing
* Experience in motivating and managing a team of researchers
* Possess research skills and capabilities be well-versed in a variety of methodologies, quantitative analysis and providing actionable recommendations
* Ability to work with disparate data sources and work closely with analytics teams; working knowledge of the ad-tech and mar-tech ecosystem
* Comfortable being hands on with data, if needed, using excel, SPSS, or other advanced data manipulation tools
* Familiarity with data visualization tools (i.e., DOMO) and syndicated research tools (i.e., YouGov, Simmons, MRI)
* Fundamental understanding of how to educate and inspire others across various departments (account management, sales) and levels of experience
* Strong skills/experience in presentation writing and presenting persuasively
* Highly effective at negotiating priorities, managing timelines, and owning multiple projects at one time
* Extremely resourceful, team player
* Deadline driven
* High degree of self-initiative
