Job Description
Bolivar Medical Center
Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and systems as scheduled or needed.
Performs utility and structural repairs as needed, alone or in collaboration with internal/external tradespersons.
Inspects, tests, and maintains records for all fire risers, sprinklers, extinguishers, fire doors, and other fire/safety-related equipment and systems.
Moves items within/between locations and from/to storage.
Non-Essential Functions
Performs urgent corrective, routine and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems as required.
Assists in maintaining and repairing HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency levels in all environmentally controlled areas.
A thorough knowledge of how to use and maintain plant tools and equipment.
Demonstrates knowledge and is able to identify each patients age-specific needs to promote a safe environment needed by a patient group.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
High School Degree preferred
GED
three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Required Skills
Beginning October 1, 2019, new hires and current employees, with an expired Crisis Prevention Training (CPI), will be required to obtain Handle with Care certification. If employee does not have a current Handle with Care at time of hire or transfer, then employee will have six months from day of hire, or transfer, to obtain, or update, Handle with Care certification.
