Providence Health is looking for an experienced CV Tech to join our team. If you have prior experience in a Cath Lab this is a perfect opportunity for you.
Essential Functions
* Performs scrub duties and related procedures for cardiac interventions, left heart catheterization and right and left heart catheterization with no assistance.
* Performs scrub duties and related procedures for peripheral diagnostics or interventions with minimal assistance.
* Ability to scrub, gown, glove and set up back table with necessary equipment.
* Records cardiac interventions, left heart catheterization and left and right heart catheterization hemodynamics with accuracy. Monitors procedure, and documents inventory used and order of events appropriately in MacLab(tm) event log. Requires only occasional minimal assistance.
* Maintains ECG set up and rhythm monitoring.
* Maintains basic hemodynamic set up and waveform monitoring.
* Assists in preparation of room with fellow staff members for safe, effective care of patient.
* Performs required checks on all safety equipment.
* Ensures adequate supplies present to perform procedures.
* Transports patients alone or accompanied by a fellow staff member.
* Assists with arrest situation calmly, accurately and quickly.
* Provides effective airway maintenance on oxygen administration.
* May defibrillate/cardiovert quickly and accurately.
* Assists in retrieval and preparation of emergency equipment quickly and accurately (temporary pacer, IABP, laryngoscope box etc.)
* Provide radiation safety/protection 100% of the time to self, patients, visitors, other healthcare workers and the general public. Adhere to all Providence Hospital & Regulatory Agencies' policies and procedures for Radiation protection. Adhere to Radiation Safety guidelines & ALARA policies.
Job Requirements
Minimum Work Experience
At least one year experience in a cardiac cath lab is required, unless educational requirements are met.
Minimum Education/Credentials
High school diploma or equivalent, accompanied by on the job training in the Cath lab at Providence Health or another facility is required. Associates or Bachelor Degree in health related field is preferred
Required Licenses
[South Carolina, United States] Cardiovascular Technologists and Technicians
RCIS, RRT, RT(R) registered, or registry eligible required.
BLS and ACLS certification required
