Providence Health is looking for an IT Operations Support Specialist to join our team.

Essential Functions:

* Processes Security Requests to include AD, Meditech, Citrix Account creation. Applies rights based on job function/need. Modifies accounts as required due to job function.
* Disables/removes accounts on separations when notified by HR/Information Systems Management. Troubleshoots user access permissions with appropriate systems owners.
* Maintains documentation with all Security Requests for rights changes for auditing purposes.
* Assists with internal security audits as needed. Assists in training organizational staff in Information Security policy, procedure and best practices as it relates to security in the workforce. Assist with Helpdesk functions.
* Performs trouble shooting and systems failure diagnosis on computers and peripherals. Document problems and resolutions appropriately.
* Works with other departments and external contacts to support system operations.
* Monitor daily production schedule and maintains work flow for Meditech operations, LAN file servers and other specialized systems. Ensures that daily processing is completed. Isolates and identifies errors in processing and applies appropriate procedures to resolve problems.
* Prepares equipment for daily operations. Loads tapes in systems, monitors and documents daily backups, prepares tapes for rotation to offsite storage, requests backup tapes for restoration.
* Maintains daily logs for system operations. Assists with maintaining inventory of Meditech and network hardware. Prepares requisitions and maintains supplies.
* Install hardware and software for standalone and networked personal computers. Troubleshoots hardware and software to resolve problems.
* Completes appropriate documentation for installation and problem resolutions.
* Install and configures hardware and software for other systems. Hardware such as Meditech terminals, printers, modems, scanners, etc. Troubleshoots equipment for systems to resolve problems.
* Completes the appropriate documentation for installation and problem resolutions. Works with other departments and external contacts to support system operations. Contacts appropriate vendors for assistance in solving problems.
* Responsible for providing software support for hospital personal computer systems. This includes standalone and networked applications.
* Serve as liaison & escalation point to LifePoint HSC for system access hosted at HSC. Provides backup to primary on-call staff according to on-call policy.
* Utilize ServiceNow for documenting projects and work requests. Enter time appropriately for work completion.
* Review weekly time reports to ensure 90% accurate documentation .Be Proactive and maintain an attitude of continuous learning of professional development with System Administrators and Network Engineer within the IS Department
* .Improve Customer Service: Accountability for completed Service Requests performed by you. Strive for excellent feedback from the end user once completing a Service Request.
* Work diligently to correct negative feedback and promote positive results.

Inventory: Maintain, organize, and keep up with your assigned inventory area. Request / reorder parts needed to maintain proper inventory.

* Organize and keep your area clean and free of debris. Know the house wide and departmental safety policies.
* Know the hospital codes for emergency situations. Be prepares for emergencies and know the proper actions to take. If you see a safety hazard, correct it if possible. If not possible, report it to the appropriate personnel immediately.
* Use hospital provided safety devices, protective clothing and equipment when required. Be properly trained before using machinery and equipment.
* Practice proper body mechanics. Protect your back when lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying. Use good judgment and ask for help when needed. Report accidents and incidents promptly.
* Maintaining a professional appearance in following the dress code, wearing my ID and practicing good hygiene. Demonstrate Providence Healths core values and mission. Documents procedures, applications, and tasks appropriately. Ensure that all systems, applications, and equipment in your area has current documentation and procedures for use and support. Maintain vendor contact info as applicable for outside support of all systems and applications.
* Assists in the development of departmental budget as applicable. Report to IT management anything impacting budget or suggestions for efficiencies. Actively review ways to perform duties most efficiently and suggest tools or process changes that may increase overall staff efficiency and accountability.
* Review and update your position description annually and inform management at any time if position responsibilities significantly change from the documentation.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education
Bachelors degree preferred

AS in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience/certifications preferred

One or more certifications: A+, Network+, Security+ or higher certifications preferred

Minimum Work Experience
Two years of technical and/or hospital experience required.

Desktop support IT Operations, security admin and/or helpdesk experience required. Must have an excellent knowledge of computer hardware and software.

Knowledge of both standalone and LAN-based PC applications including experience with current and legacy versions of Windows, various Office products, and O365, computer utilities and various other types of applications.

Excellent written and communication skills. Knowledge of installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various types of software, web applications and hardware such as printers, modems, terminals, scanners, term servers, thin clients, hubs, etc.

Knowledge of locating network ports for activation.

Knowledge of Active Directory and setting up user accounts and access.
