Job Description

KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Specialist in Deal Advisory and Strategy Analytics for our Deal Advisory practice.

Responsibilities:

* Participate as a member of the Alternative Data team to help the development of internal enablers leveraging proprietary and third-party data to provide commercially viable insights
* Manage relationship with third-party data vendors and help identify new valuable data vendors to meet business needs
* Lead the creation and development of products and analysis to provide insights through interactive web apps, dashboards and reports
* Assess and identify data quality issues from third-party vendors and collaborate with data quality analysts to develop quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
* Collaborate with data engineers, data quality analysts, data scientists and software engineers to help deliver products and services to meet client needs

Qualifications:

* Minimum five years of recent experience working as a data architect, data engineer or data modeler
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Statistics or Science)
* Strong experience transforming and manipulating data with Python and SQL, including familiarity with Spark or PySpark and working with scalable computing environments, such as Databricks, AWS Athena or Snowflake; analyzing and explaining complex ideas in understandable ways for internal and external stakeholders
* Experience working with data quality assurance processes to clean-up unstructured or error-prone data; working across heterogeneous data sources across multiple disciplines and topics
* Familiarity with programming methodologies such as version control, testing and QA as well as development methodologies such as Agile
