IBM Quantum is seeking a Systems Developer with Software Engineering skills capable of working with evolving specifications and requirements in the exciting world of Quantum Computing. Projects may include building/improve the software architecture and functionality for quantum computing systems development and deployment teams, The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of quantum computing principles and strong software skills. The candidate must also be able to work with an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers and sometimes, clients.
This position can be located in Yorktown Heights, NY .
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Advanced degree in Physics, Computer Science or a related technical field
Expertise in Quantum Information Science or related fields
Experience in working with Quantum Computing systems
Experience working with or/and leading software engineering teams
Expertise and hands-on experience in programming in one or more of these languages: Python, C, C++, Rust, Java, JavaScript, Qasm
Maintain Github repositories.
Expertise in applying software development best practices and standards for building rock-solid solutions.
Advanced skill level in solving analytical problems using rigorous and quantitative approaches
Experience working with multiple stakeholders in the organization and facilitating decision-making
Experience and ability to deliver in a time-constrained environment
