Logistics Lead

Huntsmans Textile Effects Division is now searching for a new Logistics Lead who will coordinate with warehouse, Customer Service, Logistics and Planning, and other corporate functions to maintain successful communications of operations at Charlotte and Carson, CA warehouses. This role is an active, full member of the warehouse team, located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

As the Logistics Lead, you will:

* Responsible for meeting the EHS targets and standards for Warehousing and Transportation.
* Responsible for continued development and training for direct reports at the Charlotte warehouse.
* Create and present Warehouse performance indicators (KPIs, metrics).
* Monthly tracking of warehouse and transportation expenses to achieve budget or target.
* Respond to customer complaints in C4C system.
* Manage requisitions for obtaining vendor services and warehouse supplies.
* Support investigations between Warehouse and other functions to satisfy internal customers and develop improvements.
* Responsible for the control and accuracy of inventory in both warehouses and ensure that the care and handling of the inventory is done in a responsible and safe way, through the application of company rules, policies, guidelines, and procedures.
* Trace domestic and drop shipments as requested (misses and exceptions).
* Evaluate and request carriers with corporate support. Investigate and document claims through the resolution stage (evaluate root cause of the problem, write off inventory, apply credit note, and provide feedback on the findings).
* Responsible for management of samples and Tolling processes.
* Coordinate and carry out warehouse activities, adhering to the responsibilities of EHS, Legal, and Quality, while applying the concepts of Best Management Practices and Continuous Improvement every day.

Skills and experiences required:

* University degree with 5+ years of supervising in warehousing and inventory management -OR-

High School Diploma, GED equivalent, with 10+ years supervising in warehousing and inventory management.

* In depth knowledge and understanding of SAP is required.
* A high level of resilience and flexibility is required due to the introduction of new processes and change management that will be a critical feature of this role.
* Must be excellent at co-ordination and communication between different functions and groups.
