Job Description

The 12-week Summer Intern Program is for students in who are enrolled in a bachelors or masters degree program and runs in Stamford, CT from May August 2021. He/she will work closely with analysts and will provide support for industry- and company-specific research, modeling and other special projects as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Rotations within Credit Research, Commercial Mortgages, and Alternative Assets
Lead special projects within Asset Management. Project(s) to be presented to the Senior Management team at the end of the internship.
Contribute research and analysis on portfolios of fixed income, private equity, and commercial loans for investment team
Partner with analysts to collect and analyze data for reporting purposes
Participate in regular department meetings, ad hoc credit reviews and discussions
Drive process and infrastructure improvements
Translate data and analysis into written form for presentation to both small and large groups
Gain an understanding of credit analysis and insurance company investment operations

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Economics, Math, Finance or related field
Excellent Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills
Understanding of fixed income mathematics
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Interest in Investment Management
Strong research and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Strong analytical skills to identify risks and propose solutions
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Excel skills
Participation in college investment clubs or related activities
