Job Description

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
u2022 Establishes and implements quality assurance and compliance processes for IT.
u2022 Works closely with IT leaders to develop/implement overall quality maturity roadmap and plan for each IT functional area.
u2022 Establishes internal IT service quality control standards, policies and procedures.
u2022 Develops, publishes and implements software quality assurance plans.
u2022 Consults with development, testing and production teams to develop, publish and implement software quality assurance plans.
u2022 Reviews progress toward software quality assurance plans regularly with IT leadership, technical teams and internal customers to make modifications as necessary.
u2022 Establishes internal IT service quality control standards, policies and procedures.
u2022 Monitors, evaluates, manages and executes audit processes to ensure compliance.
u2022 Coordinates and facilitates quality assurance activities across projects with project managers.
u2022 Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to IT teams on quality assurance methodologies and processes and educates them on their responsibilities/accountabilities to achieve on-time and quality deliverables.
u2022 Makes recommendations and directs improvements to the software development lifecycle process.
u2022 Documents non-compliance to policies, processes and standards and assists in resolution.
u2022 Analyzes and identifies trends in IT performance metrics.
u2022 Designs, monitors and analyzes performance metrics program for quality improvement initiatives.
u2022 Conducts audits and analyzes findings to develop appropriate corrective action recommendations.
u2022 Provides training on established processes and policies.
u2022 Other related duties assigned as needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A Bacheloru2019s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
u2022 Broad knowledge of FIS products and services, business practices and processes
u2022 In-depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, regulations and processes
u2022 In-depth knowledge of one or more end-to-end systems lifecycle development methodologies
u2022 Advanced proficiency in at least one appropriate quality management and improvement methodology, e.g., Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, Software Engineering Institute u2013 Capability Maturity Model (SEI-CMM)
u2022 Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies
u2022 Proficiency in project management
u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
u2022 Excellent training/presentation skills to educate the organization on new or updated processes
u2022 Willingness to shares relevant technical, process and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
u2022 Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team-building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
u2022 Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
u2022 Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

FIS JOB LEVEL DESCRIPTION
Advanced professional role. Highly-skilled with extensive proficiency. Provides direction, guidance, and integrated solutions to division-, group-, and/or line of business-level quality engineering initiatives. Develops large and/or complex quality solutions that require complex analysis and research. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert. Works on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors junior technical staff. Works under minimal supervision on complex projects. Wide latitude for independent judgment. Typically requires six or more years IT and business experience with at least three years in quality assurance and one or more years of audit/assessment experience.
