Job Description

Role and Scope of Position:
This position is responsible for managing all activities of the Gas Strategic and Account Management organization. This position ensures efficient and effective coordination of customer service issues between the Company and its strategic customers. This position also ensures the profitable growth and retention of the gas distribution customer base and value-added services revenue. Contributes to the Company by continually improving the Companys competitive position.

Essential Functions:

* Develops and implements the strategic plan for the department which addresses customer service, sales activities, gas marketing plan, corporate initiatives and process improvements.
* Implements Company policies and procedures including line extensions, rate terms and conditions, pole attachments, load and revenue estimation, supplier terms and conditions.
* Develops and implements Company policies and procedures to ensure high quality working relationships with gas customers.
* Participates on, and leads, cross-functional teams designed to improve customer service, operational efficiency and profitable revenue growth and maintains effective working relationships with other departments such as Billing, Metering, Call Center, Corporate Relations, Engineering and Construction.
* Works cross functionally to manage and improve all gas sales customer service activities. These include new customer connections, corporate positioning, customer service, demand side management (DSM) and other value-added services.
* Selects, assigns, establishes goals, motivates, coaches and develops Gas Sales & Marketing employees.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

* Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and management skills and strong business acumen.
* Requires technical knowledge of gas distribution systems.
* Requires knowledge of Company policies and procedures.
* Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel and E:Mail).

Education:

* A Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
* A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

Experience:

* A minimum of ten (10) to twelve (12) years of experience in marketing, sales or general business management is required.
* Gas experience is preferred.

Licenses & Certifications:

* None

Working Conditions:

* Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
* Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

In 2012, Northeast Utilities and its operating companies Connecticut Light & Power, Public Service of New Hampshire, Western Massachusetts Electric and Yankee Gas merged with NSTAR Electric & Gas to better serve New England.

On December 4, 2017, Eversource closed the deal on an acquisition of Aquarion Water Company, making Eversource the only electric company in the U.S. that also owns a water utility. Aquarion serves 230,000 water customers in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
