The Senior Advisor of Wildfire Mitigation Regulatory Strategy will lead some of the companys most critical efforts and business priorities. This position will develop compelling and well-substantiated business plans that advance SCEs ability to meaningfully reduce risks associated with wildfires. The Senior Advisor will regularly engage with employees and leadership across the company to develop strategies, business cases, and regulatory work-product in support of SCEs Wildfire Mitigation Plan. A day in the life - Get ready to think big, work smart and shine bright!
* Lead the development of SCEs Wildfire Mitigation Plan and associated components
* Partner with colleagues and leadership from across the company to translate wildfire-related business objectives, near and long-term strategies, and technical information into persuasive and compelling work-product to be presented before California regulatory bodies
* Lead cross-functional teams from across Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Information Technology (IT), Law, Regulatory Affairs, Operational Finance, Human Resources, Business Resiliency, Customer Service and other organizational units to accomplish regulatory objectives
* Develop testimony for regulatory filings with wildfire strategy components and ensure alignment of strategy and message across proceedings.
* Clearly articulate new requirements as defined by SCEs regulatory entities and collaborate across the organization to ensure alignment on approach to satisfy them
* Lead and participate in complex strategy discussions with organizational unit and SCE leadership, and think creatively on course of action
* Develop communication materials, including presentations, reports, whitepapers, etc.
Qualifications
The essentials
* Ten (10) or more years of experience in the field of analysis, policy, or project management
* Strong project management experience with responsibilities for results in terms of costs, methods, and outcomes AND the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
The preferred
* Bachelors degree or higher in business, engineering, technical, public policy, or related field
* Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with business partners, cross-functional project teams, peers, all levels of management, and vendors
* Demonstrated experience in utility regulation and California energy policy, including developing regulatory filings for submission before the various California utility regulatory bodies
* Knowledge of SCEs Wildfire Mitigation Plan (WMP) and other grid resiliency initiatives
* Experience developing quantitative business case strategies and methodologies
* Excellent oral and written communication skills

* The primary work location for this position is Pomona, CA, however the successful candidate may also be asked to telework or work remotely for an extended amount of time.
* Position may require up to 10% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory. Relocation does not apply to this position.
