In this job, youll be accountable to plan and deliver technology solutions that meet the needs of the business. Direct a team of portfolio managers, delivery managers, vendor partners, project managers, scrum masters, project support analysts, development teams, and testers to ensure the successful delivery of business solutions and outcomes. Collaborate with architecture and solution planning during both the investment planning and execution phases of each initiative. Align business strategies to demand management and lead prioritization discussions and enable early business value realization. Work with operational groups including Service Management Office & Operations (SMOO) & Grid Services to ensure their non-functional requirements are met and the solution is operationally sustainable without adding significant O&M burden / technical debt. * Partner with the Organizational Unit (OU) to assist in the definition and development of business objectives, business narratives and IT operating plans based on recommended technology initiatives and roadmap focused on business value realization.
* Assist in the development and periodic refresh of the strategic roadmap within the portfolio thats focused on the invest, sustain, and ringfence plan for each portfolio.
* Assist in the development of business case for each project that will help IT and the Organizational Unit (OU) make decisions that align with the IT technology roadmap.
* Provide project management oversight and direction to project teams to ensure exceptional service delivery of initiatives within the product line portfolio including adherence to financial goals and objectives.
* Perform staffing activities including capacity planning and performance management to ensure the project teams have the right skills and capabilities.
* Perform as Program Manager for large / complex initiatives while employing both waterfall and agile methodologies depending on the project requirements, architecture, risks, and drivers.
* Partner and collaborate with multiple partners at various levels of management including IT vendors, Grid Services, Cybersecurity, Change & Release Management, Service Management, Operations, Finance, Supply Management, and OU partners.
* Conduct and participate in regularly scheduled project team meetings and sponsor updates to provide general status on project deliverables, milestones, and overall project health.
* Serve as the first escalation point for risk management / issue remediation.
* Partner with IT Service Management and procurement teams to develop sourcing strategies and corresponding statements of work (SOWs) with vendors.

Qualifications
The essentials

* Bachelor's degree
* Seven (7) years of experience leading projects/programs.
* Five (5) years managing successful project budgets / financials
* Five (5) years of professional work experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts.
* Three (3) years of managing an organization (either matrixed or direct reports) including employee performance management.
* One (1) year working with various agile techniques (i.e. Scrum, Kanban).

The preferred

* Seven (7) years of experience working in Information Technology for an electric utility.
* Five (5) years of managing an organization (either matrixed or direct reports).
* Five (5) years of IT portfolio and customer relationship management experience.
* Three (3) years working with various agile techniques (i.e. Scrum).
* PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or CSM (Certified Scrum Master).
