Job Summary

Assists the Principal Supervisor, NQA in maintaining the Fermi 2 QA program, resolving internal and external issues, and coordinating the day-to-day activities of the respective NQA department. Reinforces the core values and acts a Change Leader for moving the organization forward. Represents the NQA organization at various site meetings and represents the company at industry conferences, benchmarking efforts, and peer assist visits.
Key Accountabilities

* Act in a supervisory capacity in resolving issues and providing direction to NQA personnel.
* Assist the Principal Supervisor, NQA in achieving budget and business plan goals.
* Interface directly with senior management in the resolution of site and company issues.
* Provide input for employee appraisals and assist in interviewing potential candidates for hiring into the NQA organization.
* Provide training and developmental needs for NQA personnel as necessary.
* Respond to regulatory findings issues e.g., NRC, INPO, etc. related to the NQA organization.
* Review and approve NQA reports prior to issuance.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

* Bachelor's degree or SRO license/certification plus three years nuclear power industry experience; or
* Associates degree plus five years nuclear power industry experience; or
* High school graduate plus seven years nuclear power industry experience

Other Qualifications

* Should possess a working knowledge of plant system operations.
* Must be able to maintain a position on the Fermi Emergency Response Organization ERO in support of the Radiological Emergency Response Plan RERP.
* Must be able to pass all phases of In-Processing including a background investigation, psychological screening, orientation, appropriate radiation worker and respiratory training and be medically certifiable drug and alcohol screen.
* Exhibits confidence in self and others; Inspires and motivates others to perform well; Effectively influences actions and opinions of others.
* Makes decisions systematically, can make decisions under pressure, builds a consensus, can make difficult/unpopular decisions, considers impact of decisions.
* Understanding of the budget and procurement process.
* Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others and has good listening skills.
* Knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B and associated standards, the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report UFSAR and Technical Specifications.
