DIVISION OVERVIEW:
Crowns Food Division is the number one manufacturer of food cans in the world. Our complete array of food packaging serves a variety of markets, including fruit, vegetables, dairy, fish, meat, ready meals, pet food, infant milk powder and other dry food products. We offer a wide selection of food cans from round to bowl as well as shaped cans. We truly focus on excellence. Here is your chance to join the Crown Food Division.
LOCATION:
Plant 37 is located in Hanover, PA. The plant manufactures 3-piece steel cans for the food industry over 3 shifts. A new 2-piece food can line is being added to this facility and will be operational in 2021. This new line will position the Hanover plant with the ability to serve our customers with a diverse mix of packaging products. With this new line, the Hanover plant will employee over 70 team members. The Plant is located on Route 194 in York County and is in close proximity to Gettysburg PA, York PA and the Maryland border.
Brief description of job: Ensure quality compliance adherence.
* Duties include but are not limited to:
* Performs quality checks
* Manage rework on shift
* Retain out of specification product
* Record all information for food safety investigations
* Manage shift chargebacks
* Help identify root cause(s) for non-conforming product
* Participate and facilitate Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Audits
* Key personnel member in quality and food safety program
* Participates in all Plant safety initiatives
* Maintains work area in clean and orderly condition
* Operate forklift as needed
* Other tasks as assigned
* Review and be knowledgeable on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and upper and lower control limits.
Job Requirements
Qualifications of position:
* Ability to utilize computer and Microsoft office products
* GED or High School Diploma
* Ability to work Overtime
* Ability to learn gauges and how to maintain
* Ability to learn forklift
* Assist with supporting QA systems.
