Cornings Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (LCDs) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.
Scope of Role:
Position offers 2-4 rotations across areas of Strategy, Industry Intelligence and Communications teams of Corning Display Technologies (CDT) over a period of one to two years, aiming to prepare incumbent for a team leadership position in Display with an accelerated timeline.
Role & Responsibilities:
You will be rotated across 2-4 roles within the first 1-2 years into one of the following roles:
Strategic Analysis:
* Lead cross-functional projects and communicate results to executives in a Steering Team.
* Typical project topics include industry / value-chain analysis, technology trend assessment, new product strategy, etc.
* Use effective cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely delivery of insightful strategy End Market / Value Chain Analysis
* Build analytical models to predict market demand using sound assumptions and methodology.
* Collect intelligence to validate, refine or disprove hypotheses about market evolution
* Articulate key assumptions and beliefs for senior leadership Competitive Analysis
* Use diverse sources of information (products, pricing, capacity, technology, financials, etc.) to piece together key competitors business strategies
* Predict competitors likely moves and countermoves to inform commercial tactics development Communications
* Collect and analyze effectiveness of various internal and external communication programs
* Craft professional marketing collateral and messages
* Support executive and external communications
Education & Experience:
* We require a MBA or other relevant graduate degrees from a premier school
* Track record of doing business in US and countries in Asia
* We are seeking experience working with multinational companies in strategy, commercial, financial or management functions
* Strong analytic/problem-solving skills with experience in dealing with complex business issues
* Excellent listener and communicator in cross-functional team and steering team settings
* Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese
* Effective leadership, organization, and planning skills, with ability to handle changing priorities
* Record of on time delivery within budget; ability to drive projects to successful conclusion using influencing tools
* Ability to lead international teams across multiple initiatives that span various lines of business, geographic borders, time zones, and cultures
* Self-starter, able to work in team environment and motivate others
Desired Skills:
* Undergraduate degree focused on a technical area of study
* Professional experience in leading modules or teams in a top-tier management consulting firm
* Intellectual curiosity and high standard of excellence
* Develop high strategies using detailed analytical insights
* Pragmatic and positive attitudes in face of complex situations
Travel
* We anticipate 20% travel for this role, international/domestic
