Enterprise Architect
The Enterprise Architect performs the necessary leadership, facilitation, analysis and design tasks related to the development of an enterprise's technical architecture. Provides technology direction and guidance for strategic projects/initiatives aligned with enterprise architecture principles and considerations. Responsible for evaluating, selecting and recommending relevant technology, tools and practices aligned with business strategy and priorities.
Position Responsibilities:
Innovation
* Perform research activities to identify emerging technologies and trends that may affect the enterprise.
* Maintain awareness of vendor/product industry developments, regulations and trends and identify potential impacts to the enterprise.
* Assist in vendor/product selection activities including the development of vendor/product evaluation models used in Requests for Proposal (RFP's).
* Design and oversee efforts in building effective bank specific Proof of Concept demonstrations and socialize the results throughout the enterprise and all levels of management.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendor partners to keep on track for core technologies.
* Develops and maintains strong relationships with business domain leadership to keep track of changing business needs and priorities.
* Provide technical/business consulting to internal Technology organizations and client-sponsored activities outside of Technology.
Strategy
* Provide technical/business consulting to internal Technology organizations and client-sponsored activities outside of Technology.
* Analyze the business drivers that determine key architecture requirements.
* Develop the process for creating a technical strategy that supports the business strategy and facilitate its development, and maintenance.
* Develops and maintains strong relationships with business domain leadership to keep track of changing business needs and priorities.
* Contribute to EA community by developing reference architectures, training/certification material etc.
EA Governance
* Perform technical architecture planning activities.
* Facilitate and develop architectural standards for key technologies.
* Facilitate the development and evolution of the architecture and global governance processes.
* Define and facilitate the process for approving architecture principles and standards.
* Develop different methods to communicate effectively the Enterprise Architecture.
* Mentor Technology team members in the principles of Enterprise Architecture.
* Develop, collect and analyze Enterprise Architecture metrics to identify continual improvement opportunities.
Position Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Math, Science or Engineering or High School Diploma or GED and 15 years of technology experience
* 10 years of Architecture experience
* 10 years of experience leading large, complex/critical technology projects
* 8 years of experience influencing strategy for large organizations
* 6 years of experience leading and inspiring others
* 2 years of Banking Industry experience
* 2 years of experience building product roadmaps
* 1 year of experience with digital platform implementation
