Our Landing Systems Business Unit headquartered in Troy, Ohio designs, tests and manufactures a wide range of fully integrated landing systems. Our innovative solutions include lighter-weight, high-strength materials; more electric technologies; DURACARB carbon friction material; EDL extended life configurations; and innovative aircraft gear, wheel and brake design.

We have an immediate opening for a Manufacturing Engineer II at our Troy location.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Assure processes, including equipment, fixture design, routings, programming, tooling, and standard work in support of the following processes: Assembly Processes for Aircraft Brakes and Wheels, Machining, Anodize, Chemical Etch, Aluminum Conversion Coating, Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection, Waste Water Treatment, and Shot Peen.

* Continuously improve quality and productivity using the Ace Operating System for products and processes including compliance to these processes.

* Identify and implement cost savings as related to direct and indirect labor savings, and expense account budgets.

* Ability to lead activities related to compliance audits including AS9100, NADCAP, etc.

* Provide technical support for serving as liaison between Value Streams, Quality Assurance, EH&S; and Design Engineering.

* Project and Contractor Management

* Capital Projects management

* New Manufacturing Technology Development

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

* In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

* Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in a manufacturing related engineering field

* Candidate will have experience with the continuous improvement philosophy including working within an environment that embraces the daily use of these tools in a team environment.

* Candidate will have experience operating within a fast paced manufacturing company.

* Candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills utilizing tools such as MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

* Intermediate user of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including MS Project. Experience with intermediate level functions in Excel such as analysis tool pack and macro programming.

* Ability to work independently and with small teams.

* Project and Budget Management.

* Project work implementing new equipment and technologies into a production environment.

* Machining experience including: fixture design, tooling, tool life management, CNC Programming and Geometric Dimensioning/Tolerancing (GDAT).

* AS9100 experience is a plus.

* 3D CAD software applications (Pro E, Master CAM, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc.) Design experience with Siemens NX is a strong plus.
