The Procurement Specialist is a strategic role that will lead, participate, analyze, and manage Procurement project related activities for their respective Value Streams. The Procurement Specialist is a focal point for the Value Stream that works closely with the Procurement teams and the Value Stream Leaders in Customer Programs and Product including Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Attends and participates in the high-level Value Stream weekly IPT meetings as the Procurement representative
* Attends SIOP meetings
* Attends the daily Procurement Tier 3 meetings
* Links communications when there are gaps between the Value Stream and Procurement
* Review Y/N Report with the Value Stream Product Program focal on factors that are delaying Buyers to place the PO
* Forward looking for trends, supplier risks, drop in demands, MFI increases, and NTL using the MisMatch tool
* Review critical shortages with the Planner
* Analyze root causes to lead resolution to a permanent fix that will mitigate a repeat of overdue deliveries
* Leads a strategic effort to find solutions to ongoing issues that prevent Buyers from placing purchase orders
* Other projects assigned and directed by Leadership.

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR
* In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Management/Procurement, Project Management, Business Development, or Customer Support.
* SAP proficiency required.
* Self-directed professional able to work with minimal direction, keeping leadership/stakeholders informed.
* In-depth knowledge of Supply Chain Management/Procurement practices.
* Able to read technical drawings and specifications.
* High aptitude with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
* Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder
