Position Purpose: Reporting to the Director of Strategic Analysis, the Business Analyst - Data Scientist will be responsible for supporting automation initiatives from our robust Enterprise Data Warehouse, as well as other data sources. This role will be a key resource in building our Data Science team, aiding in the automation of manual reporting processes. As this is a new position, the incumbent will help shape the role and process that defines success.
Build reporting solutions from scratch, experienced in data visualization, and have a strong bias towards creating clean, powerful, user-focused visualizations.
Collaborate on projects involving multiple teams that leverage unstructured environments
Ability to communicate and partner effectively with technical and non-technical teams
Directly/indirectly led the contributions of others and developed colleagues' capabilities in reporting tools, business analysis methods and techniques.
Comfortable with SQL/Python to extract, analyze, prepare data
Expert at being able to comprehend complex excel calculations and automate them in an open source solution.
Education / Experience / Other Requirements
Education:
Bachelors or Master's in Business,Computer Science, Physics, Math or related field
Years of Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience with healthcare data (ACO settings preferred)
Minimum of four (4) years working as a Data Scientist
Specialized Knowledge:
Strong SQL skills.
Advanced Python skills.
Familiarity with ETL processes
Proficient in the use Excel
Ability to work across organization and with a variety of different departments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to present to senior leadership
Familiar with Agile methodologies, including work tracking tools like Jira/Asana/etc.
