Job Overview
Booking Holdings currently supports the compliance & ethics training and communications needs for the corporate office as well as each of the Booking Holdings brands to ensure that employees across the organization have the knowledge, resources and tools to achieve The Right Results, The Right Way. We are seeking a Director of Compliance Training and Communications, reporting to the VP-Global Compliance & Ethics Operations. As a key member of the corporate compliance & ethics team, this individual will run a world-class compliance & ethics training and communications function in terms of execution, efficiency and continuous improvement. This position will partner closely with the brands to create and implement effective compliance & ethics training and communications in 2021 and beyond.
Responsibilities and Duties
The Director of Global Compliance Training and Communications will be responsible for leading and executing the compliance and ethics training and communications strategy, setting the stage for future direction of the training function, through:
* Identifying training needs and developing a comprehensive program to raise awareness of compliance & ethics expectations and reduce the risk of new and existing employees violating applicable laws and regulations.
* Creating communications campaigns for a global audience to accompany rollouts of policies and procedures to support and enhance the companys ethical culture.
* Enhancing company-wide programs that teach and strengthen company values and behaviors across the employee life cycle, resulting in a consistent learning experience across the organization.
* Facilitating discussions and decisions to build an appropriate design and strategy for training and communications, putting the learner first with the belief that compliance & ethics training can be transformational.
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop processes that support the creation of tailored course materials that can be used by specific brands or at a regional or local level.
* Owning and driving the Ethics Moments training initiative and creating other content for leaders to incorporate into business meetings and other settings.
* Creating training specifically for managers to support an ethical tone at the middle.
* Building data-driven and technology-enabled learning processes, including analytics, dashboards, and a culture of continuous improvement using data insights to shape the compliance & ethics learning roadmap and priorities.
* Developing and deploying processes to monitor training effectiveness and gathering data and metrics for reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer and Audit Committee.
* Identifying, negotiating with and managing training vendors and providers best suited to create multimodal content consistent with the companys training and communications needs.
* Working with appropriate teams to manage training and communications budget and validate costs and benefits of vendors and providers.
* Acting as an in-house learning design subject matter expert and delivering presentations to company stakeholders.
* Ensuring course materials are compliant with current accessibility standards.
Qualifications
* Bachelors Degree required. Advanced degree a plus, especially in management, instructional design, or education/training
* 7+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a L&D or compliance environment or similar function setting strategy and owning programs from conception through execution
* Background in instructional design, training and learning design, curriculum development, diversity & inclusion program development, and/or relevant learning/cognitive principles
* 2-3+ years of prior managerial experience
* Experience designing and delivering both company-wide programs and function-specific programs
* Experience supporting cross functional teams with an emphasis on Legal and/or compliance & ethics functions
* Proven experience driving operational excellence with large scale global programs
* Experience working on a global team, capable of delegation, team building, and strategic leadership, driving alignment and consensus
* Significant experience with project management and systems implementation
* Experience selecting and working with vendors using analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to plan and execute at strategic and tactical levels
* Displays highest levels of integrity
* Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentations skills and demonstrated ability to be clear and concise when communicating with global stakeholders
* Proven success communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels globally
* Excellent presentation skills with polished and professional demeanor
* Ability to manage complex projects and deliver wide range of content with multiple stakeholders
* Fluent with metrics and how to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs in driving significant business impact
* Team player and natural collaborator, but also comfortable moving projects forward independently
