General Profile: Provides leadership and direction through senior managers for design for Safety. Is accountable for the performance and results of multiple regions or diverse job families or departments within a major region or business unit for Product Safety. Develops and executes business unit Safety, department or sub-functional strategy to achieve key business safety objectives . Decisions are guided by company and segment/functional safety objectives. Directs and controls the activities of one or more functional areas.

Key Responsibilities

* External advocate, participant in industry forums for current research and trends
* Experienced in program execution taking products to market. Managed functional, programs, Ics, vendors, customer relationships. Matrix management through influence. Must help drive budgetary decisions based on influence
* Demonstrable experience as a change agent having effectively implemented change impact existing programs and/or processes
* Able to negotiate with customers, vendors and partners to drive desired business outcomes
* Ability to influence internal and external senior management to resolve program challenges
* Negotiate and influence at top level exec level in internal and external organizations to drive program deliverables.
