Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Firmware Verification Engineer with solid knowledge of field programmable gate array (FPGA) development and firmware verification and regression protocols. This Firmware Verification Engineer will be engaged in exciting, innovative and ambitious work in the development of our next generation tools at the Applied Materials Display Division. We are looking for someone who is driven to make things work properly and willing to accept no less.

Key Responsibilities

* Work with the FPGA Team to verify FPGA functionality as part of SW and HW verification
* Design, develop, and maintain digital logic verification testbenches and an automated regression test environment.
* Build and develop both targeted and/or randomized test cases as needed.
* Enable design engineers by creating the building blocks of module-level testbenches and test scripts
* Create and review and test plan documents

Qualifications

* B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field
* 5+ years of experience in relevant field
* Experience with VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog,
* Familiarity with development in a Linux environment, understands hardware and software interactions
* Experience with one or more scripting languages (tcl, python, perl)
* Experience with FPGAs and FPGA tools, preferably Xilinx Vivado
* Experience with HDL regression testbench development

Preferred Qualifications

* FPGA design experience
* Experience with UVM
* Knowledge of communication protocols (PCIe, CMAC, SPI, I2C, UART etc.)
* Experience with test-driven design
