The Opportunity
This position supports the Sales Alliance team by developing and communicating programs and opportunities to sales teams within Auto Finance. The candidate will apply knowledge of retail/lease products and dealership operations allowing for effective communication of sales opportunities. The position will be responsible for preparing talking points that can be utilized by the sales team, developing presentations of opportunities with specific OEMs, dealers or Ally Regions and analyzing payment comparisons. A significant portion of time is spent working with sales teams and sales leadership. The position will also be responsible for supporting or leading critical initiatives and building push reports for the sales organization.
The Work Itself
* Identify operating/performance trends and outliers via interpretation of business intelligence data and quantitative analysis. Assist with development and implementation of appropriate metrics/ reporting that drive business results and adoption of best practices. Interprets and translates business data and intelligence into market insights and meaningful reporting.
* Communication with all levels of the sales organization to support business objectives. Identification of market growth opportunities and competitive landscape dynamics. Help enable sales teams for success through actionable recommendations and executive summaries to accompany data and analytics.
* Support of and participation with key business leaders and various stakeholder partners in revenue generation and process improvement opportunities. Active collaborative role with greater matrix partner teams.
* Demonstrate strong communication with matrix partners by participating on bi-monthly field calls, regional sales team calls, developing and delivering written summaries of opportunities and handling adhoc requests
* Act as a liaison between Sales Alliance OEM teams and Auto Finance sales teams enabling programs developed by Sales Alliance to drive revenue for Ally. Build ad-hoc sales reports as required.
* Be able to analytically interpret data and find opportunities for sales team to win incremental business
* Support or lead strategic initiatives across Auto Finance
The Skills You Bring
* Bachelor's degree in business-related subject area preferred.
* 1 + years in financial services or similar industry is needed; Auto finance or dealership experience is preferred
* Sophisticated knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel with the ability to learn new software, as needed. SQL or SAS a plus/preferred.
* Demonstrate a highly developed understanding of interpreting data and finding opportunities
* High level of written and oral communication skills
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workflow.
* Detail oriented with strong problem-solving skills
* Aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis and research methods.
